Came across this quote in the front of Still Life With Woodpecker by Tom Robbins:
You don’t need to leave your room.
Remain sitting at your table and listen.
Don’t even listen, simply wait.
Don’t even wait.
Be quite still and solitary.
The world will freely offer itself to you.
To be unmasked, it has no choice.
It will roll in ecstasy at your feet.
–Franz Kafka
this one speaks to me. just reading it creates spaciousness in a somewhat cluttered mind.

is all this about raising consciousness such that the 100th monkey will be aroused…..and we will find our evolution to continued life and relative peace on this planet.

Hi Tom!
If you have a minute, read the Prologue to The 99th Monkey, available here: http://www.the99thmonkey.com. It will give you the general idea, but in a nutshell, yes, the 100th Monkey idea is about what you described, but The 99th Monkey (me) is sort of a tongue-in-cheek idea that I am the last hold-out, still resisting transformation, thus gumming up the works for the whole planet. So the book is my 30 year history of resisting enlightenment!
Thanks for wriiting–
