beautiful wife!!!
I just didn’t have a photo of Plum handy when I was quickly putting this together–that’s why it says M.I.A.: Plum (Missing In Action):)
Fabulous Book! Everyone “should” read it. Truely inspirational, even if you never have done a workshop in your life! The curiosity of this writer to find what he is looking for is never ending! I have loved all his books and can’t wait for the next one to come out. Thanks
In the interest of full disclosure, MaryEileen is close friend trying to help me out here by promoting my book. She means what she says, though. But I want to keep this space honest. So…thanks Mar!

And I too would like to review your book in The Los Angeles Free Press because, although I am a few years older than Eliezer Sobel, I have made a similar trip through the New Age with my friends Wavy Gravy, Tim Leary, Allen Ginsberg, Paul Krassner, Wes Nisker and many other great souls, known and unknown. I look forward to getting to know Eliezer Sobel better.
Cordially, Art Kunkin, Founding Publisher and Editor of The Los Angeles Free Press, 1964-2008, former editor Whole Life Times, former editor The Realist, former editor Ancient Wisdom For Modern Living, etc.
A painfully funny, sad, semi-Seinfeldian, and inspirational book! I should know…I am his brother. I shared a room with him for years. He bothered the crap out of me. I should have known then. The capacity to “bother the crap” out of people for many years is an essential and inexorable predictor of future enlightenment. I wish all people over 50 would read this book.
I am a fan of yours and I haven’t even read your books yet, I will very soon. I read your posts on Reality Sandwich, and many other posts and I felt that you are the one that I relate to the most. I have not done as much research or workshops/guru as you, however I have been searching all my life for The Answer and also felt very isolated at times realising that there are sheep and shepherds, and I am not a sheep, and do not have enough knowledge to be the latter…Your post God is expensive, gave me the reassurance that I am not crazy and that there are other people out there that are looking and searching and when they find a guru/enlightened person it is always scary how they all try to take advantage of the power they have on their followers and it just turns ugly…
so, thank god for you and for your talent to express what many of us (I hope there are many) think and sometimes feel lost and helpless..
I am not a writer nor do I have a phd, I am from
Romania, married to an American living in California, 43, mother of a 3 year old . I work as a tour manager, leading tours around the world(not so many since the baby) and have traveled and lived in different cultures and always felt that there is more to this life than we know.
So, thank you and can’t wait to read your books
